Thanks so much for checking out small groups at Shadow Mountain.

We'd like to make a few suggestions to maximize your small group experience. We've found out over the years that you can greatly increase your chances for small group success if you do a few things.

  1. Search our Small Group Directory. When you find a group (or two) that interests you, use our online registration to “register” for that group. This will email the leader and one of our small group staff members, so that we can call or email you back with the group’s address and be available to answer any questions you may have. If you have trouble with the online directory, just contact someone on staff and we can help you find a group.
  1. Go for it. Take the next step and go “try on” the group. It can feel risky to be the new person in a group, but it’s worth it. Following through is a critical next step.
  1. Give a group a chance. In other words, try out one group for four weeks, so you can get a real feel for what the group is like. You won’t believe the difference between week one and week four.
  1. Be persistent. If one group isn’t a good fit, no worries. Give another group that four week test drive to see if it is a good fit.

Remember, there are two plans for your life: God has a plan, but so does Satan. God wants you protected in a great community but the enemy wants you exposed and on your own. Come and experience the growth and friendship that you can only find in a small group.
